Thread: Not a bad day...

Got out for a bit today so I tried to catch some crappie. Couldn't buy a bite, until this took my tube jig. 25#, 32 inches.

I'll bet that was fun and I'm not even a betting man. LOL. I have caught them before, but nothing that big.

Yeah he fought hard for about 10 minutes. lol. I gave it to the girl at the gas station, her BF wanted it.

Good job Greg. It takes a lot of drag work to get one of those in on light tackle. I once landed a 25 pounder on a Diawa mini spin with a 4.5' rod and 4# test line. It took about 15 minutes and was great fun. OK now get serious, go find them slabs.

I didn't know they'd take a jig! Never know what's on the end of a line when the pole bends, that's what I love about fishing! I bet he was fun!

Yeah I was using 6# test when he hit. I wasn't aware they hit jigs either, and a guy at the gas station made the same comment too. lol. He fought for a good 10-15 minutes before I could get him to the bank. He was a blast to catch though.

Would that be some kind of a record with light tackle and light line ?????
