The Cajun called me on Monday and asked if I wanted to go fishing - well heck yeah! We got out to Caddo lake at the Shady Acres launch at about 9:00 this morning. Fished until about 5:30 with most of the fish being caught before 3:30. We ended up with 26 that we kept. All of them were quality fish. All but three of the fish were caught out in James Bayou in 12/13/14 fow from 9-11 feet deep. Caught them using shiners and jigs with cajun cricket being the best color. We caught the last three of the day up in the timber in 4-6 fow. Most were full of eggs.
GreenShiner was there and ended up with 20+ as well. A future CDC member by the name of Rodney caught 10+, too.
Dave with the first fish of the day.
GreenShiner with two good uns.
My stringer and Dave's stringer. All of them were nice with most being pigs. The Cajun caught 15 and I caught 11.
Two of mine before I put a knife to them. Of the 26 fish, about 20 were this size. The ones that weren't were good size, these just made them look small.

Now that is what I call two good stringers of fish. I know that was fun. Congratulations on the catch. And thanks for the pictures. I am now drooling all over the laptop. LOL.

If you are I don't blame ya, it's been a rough winter for my old bones. Glad to finally see some warming and drying weather. Wishing y'all the best. Thanks for the pictures they keep me motivated.
