Hey Everyone,
I'm new here to the Louisiana forum. I've been a member on here for a while but recently moved back to LA from TX. It's good to be back here. I'm New Era's son-in-law too! We went to LOP last weekend and caught 15 but it seems like the deep water is slowing down there. Went over to Caney Lake this weekend but the wind was brutal.
Anyone ever fish Wallace lake? It's about a minute from my house but I don't know anything about it.
Welcome to the site. Glad to have you join in with us.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Welcome Cajun1. I'm too far south to be of any help on Wallace Lake except what I've heard here. Use the "search" at the top of the page and you'll find a few comments about it. Being it's small, has a lot of structure and nice water, I would think you could catch a bunch without much of a ride. Learn small waters well and they will repay you in fish.

Welcome to the board. This site is awesome. There's a lot of good info here. I live in Lafayette.
Welcome from Bossier! Lived here my whole life and I've never seen Wallace. I might need to look into it someday. Living that close, I hope it turns out to be a great spot for you!

thanks for the info on Wallace. I drove down to both launches today and the water is real high. Still want to give it a try though. I've gotta get my jon boat up and ready to go soon. I need a trailer for it (cheap) if anyone knows of one let me know.
Thanks,
Casey (Cajun1)
Welcome Cajun1 from Cotton Valley, LA. I pastor a church just 40 miles from Shreveport. I have never been to Wallace but Cypress is at Benton and a very good lake and I am learning a new lake up at Hosston right now, Black Bayou, a beautiful cyprees studded lake. Got some nice crappie in it too. Maybe we can get together some time and go fishing.
