    Default Larto report

Folks , I look at the reports often on here and figure its only fair to make one if you have one. We went out to larto Sat and Sunday. Wind blew pretty good sat. We caught 5 nice white perch and few catfish Sat. All the perch were caught on black and chartreuse 15' deep in 18 to 19 FOW. The catfish were caught by my daughter on worms. Fishing was slow but wind wasn't. Sun the wind died down but the fishing was slower than Sat . Caught one keeper and a few small ones that we threw back. We put in at Young bloods and Fished the canal that runs down to the buzzard roost but only really caught fish at the mouth of the canal that runs over to woodsons landing. I don't know the name of the one that runs to the buzzard roost.

I believe the canal is called by locals,,,or we call it,,man made cut. it goes from young bloods over to area around dry larto island. You can get to Devil's Point and cross bayou from that cut,, if your on the larto side of it...o yea heard some fish where caught up Fools Bayou. If you launch at youngbloods and at landing go right, like going back toward buzzards roast,,before you go toward the roast,,it the first bayou on the right. It dead ends,,for you duck hunters,,there are some good duck holes at the end of it,back in the button woods!!
