Thread: Water Temp

Anyone know the current water temp at Larto? What does the water temp need to get too for them to move to the banks?

Don't know about Larto, b/c I don't fish there, but if the big water is 56.....best believe the fish are dancing somewhere. Maybe even less, just depends on the water way.

I was there last weekend and the highest that I heard was 62. most of where I fished was 53-60 but we had a good warm week so it should be up and more consistant now.

I came came upon this formula for getting an approximate water temperature. I have not had a chance to prove or dissprove it but it may get you close.
Take the high temperatures for 7 days and add them together and then divide by 7 to get the average. Take the lows for those same 7-days, add them together and then divide by seven for that average. Take the two averages and add them together and then divide that by 2. The final answer should be close to the surface water temperature. UNLESS you got 90 mph winds blowing.
