    Default Redneck Crappie Barrel

CrappieCleaner and I built this experimental condo today. This is our redneck version of the honey hole tree, Fish Attractors Fish Cover

. We didnt want to drop the 125 bones for ONE! OR 350 for the three pack! The barrels are 8 ft wide and 6 ft tall. We plan on putting out 3 barrels to a hole. Message CrappieCleaner for the coordinates ( just to let you know I didnt let him see the GPS)!

they will work good you don't need any weight in them. the deeper they get the heavy they git. i drop some two years ago they still holding fish.you may need a few more large holes in them where they will fill up with water faster.john

We're goin to put a few inches of sackrete in them. Thinking about putting some rectangular openings in the barrel to let baitfish swim in and out of.

note to self when making barrels - make sure chemicals have been cleaned out of barrel or make other person stand over the barrel and hold it down while you drill the holes in it
