Thread: Lake Ivan

I did a little hunting this year up around Lake Ivan. I have not been up that way in years. I have heard different stories about the lake. Just wondering if any one has fished it lately or knows anything about it.

The lake was empty for several months. There is a problem with the drain pipe that is used to drain the lake under the road on the dam. I was told that the corp drained the lake to repair the pipe this summer (2010) and left the drain open. The lake came back up to pool stage when we got all of the rain a couple of months ago and just has not gone back down again. Someone else may have more info; that is all I know.

I checked it out on Google Earth and it shows it bone dry except for the channel and a couple of low spots. I would think that most of the fish left the scene with the water.

Is Google Earth "live"?

No, Goggle Earth is not a live feed. I read somewhere that they update the satalite feed about once every couple of years.
