    Default OT-Seafood Buffet

Well since I haven't been able to catch any fish lately I guess I'll have to go buy some, lol. With that in mind I'm looking for a good seafood buffet to bring some out of town folks to. They wanna try some Louisiana foods like frog legs, catfish, etc. I figure the best way for them to sample just about everything is to find a decent seafood buffet that has a variety of foods.

So I figured all you Louisiana natives might know of a place or two. Was looking for something up near the Shreveport/Bossier city area, or something south of Alexandria towards lafayette. I tried Marksville casino's seafood buffet but they really don't offer much in the way of louisiana variety. Just mostly had fish, and shrimp.

So if you have a favorite place and don't mind sharing it then please let us know.

There is Cajun Tales in Welsh, but I am not sure what all they have on their buffet. I went to one years back around the Ville Platte area that had the frog legs, crawfish, shrimp, etc. but don't remember the name of it or if they are still in business. Maybe one of the members from around the Ville Platte area knows where I am talking about and will chime in.

If you are in Pineville, I would try Jackie's in Jonesville. I have been there three or four times when were at our camp in Larto and the food was good. They have fried oysters, catfish, shrimp, crawfish, and frog legs and the usually have boiled shrimp. The best part is it is all you can eat on a buffet. And it won't be too bad of a drive from Pineville. I think it was 15.99 or 17.99 but well worth it. I could think of some good places around Lafayette but that will be a good drive as well. Hope this helps!

Hey M&M, Now your talking about something I know a little bit about. I'm sure this is probably out of your way but there is a place in Spearsville, LA. (about 10 miles north of Farmerville) called HOLLIS SEAFOOD. They are only opened thur., fri., sat.. Fri./Sat. are the nights to go because there is more items on buffett. This place is awesome. It's been about 6 months since I have been but they have it all. Thier gumbo is the best. You may want to call them to be sure but they have it all. It's worth the trip if your close.

There is one called Kelly's Place in Haughton which is just east of Bossier City. It is on Hwy 80 a couple of miles east of Louisiana Downs

I almost suggested that one, but to be perfectly honest, we went before Christmas and I just wasn't overly impressed. Maybe it was just me though.

I have not been there in some time, but it was pretty good last time we were there. May have to check them out this weekend!

I suggest Cyrpess Inn in Bossier City. Awesome food and service, located on Airline Dr. North of the I-220 Loop. Brand new location, used to be on Cypress Lake. Only thing is it's not a buffet.
