    Default Hey Stumpjumper

Whats the word on youngbloods landing. Is the road decent. I am going hunting there in the morning. Youngbloods is my shortest route to the stand, only about 1/2 mile, phils is 3 miles. Gonna be an awful cold boat ride either way....
I stay ready....... To keep from having to get ready.... :D

Thursday evening there was a fifth wheel camper at Youngblood landing. So I would presume the road is not too bad.

I really don't know! I haven't been on that end of the complex in a couple months! I can tell you the canal road is beat up pretty bad though! Hunt road isn't in the best shape either... Might be better off taking your chances on youngbloods

You are hunting the Dewey Wills reserve? correct? Reason I am asking is because my daughter has a lottery youth hunt at Dewey Wills next sunday. Guess what I am wanting to know, the rut should be starting soon there, have you noticed any breeding activity in the area?

Yeah, I hunt Dewey. Last weekend I saw 5 does, no bucks. There were a lot of hookings, and few scrapes. This full moon will kick them in high gear though. I will be able to post more info for you tomorrow night. Hopefully i will have a good pic for ya...lol

Hmm sounds like she may catch the tail end of it, or miss it all together. Thanks for the report. I know last year when I killed my 13pt across the river, it was at the end of the rut and that was the third weekend of January. They must have started early this year.
