Thread: Any reports on Mooringsport or Johnson's Ranch

Heading to one of the above Saturday. Anybody been lately? I haven't been on the water in over two months. Any input would be appreciated.

Hey Don! Are your buddies doing anything on Pines?

Here's the report. Got to Johnson's Ranch at 07:00 Saturday and we were the first boat there (Never a good sign). Only one other boat launched there from 07:00 until 12:00.

Launching was not a problem but the current is very strong still. I rigged up heavier jigs than normal (3 rig jig, thanks SlabHunter) but it was hard to keep them vertical.

Partner caught one 9" and I hung one about 12" and that was it. We saw a few other boats but everyone would just shake their heads as they went by.

Tough day but good day to be on the water. Will just have to go again!
