I never expected this to happen on a 75 degree, windy afternoon at 3:30. Where I hunt the bucks don't start chasing does until early December, but this fellow had it on his mind! I had 5 does eating acorns out in front of me. The wind started swirling and they started acting real skiddish and finally ran off. So I just assumed it was the wind. Well out hops big boy!

I with you Paw Paw. I'd take the squirrels. I am messing them up this year. I did go deer hunting this weekend north of Ville Platte. It's in Area 6 and opened for primitive weapon. My friend had just put out his cigarette and up walks a 6 pt. at 20 yards. That 45-70 put him down in his tracks. He uses his cigarettes as "cover scent".
