Thread: Slow trip on Cypress Black Bayou

Went out for a little while today. Couldn't get there before almost noon, but went anyway. First guy I ran into at the lauch said he didn't catch the first fish, so I didn't have high hopes after that. Went anyway and found one hungry mouth. He went about 1.5 lb and hit black/chartruse jig. He was in 20 fow about 13 feet down. Only one I could catch, but I saw a few scattered on the finder. They probably tore them up after I left! :D Nice weather for a boat ride anyway. Think I'll have my fish with some shrimp tonight! Few fries and we've got a winner dinner!

Are you still eating on those shrimp from Golden Meadow? We're going again next week. Clay

Hate to hear the fish weren't cooperative with you.. I went to Bundick's and fished from daylight til 1 and managed 8 in the box. Had to tune up for the gathering.

I Got To The Lake At 8 And Fished Until 11:30. Had To Go Watch The Saints. I Kept 15 10" To 14". I Was Spyder Rigging In The Main Lake. Using 32 Oz Hair Jigs . Different Colors.
