D'Arbonne Spillway Repair
I got word today that they will be a meeting held tommorrow to make a final decision as to whether or not to do further repairs to the spillway. From what I understand their goal is to change the flow to where the lake can drain a lot quicker if we should get flooding in the future to help out local area home and camp owners. I didn't get a date on when the repair would begin if it goes through, but if this happens I figure we could expect the lake to be low for a while. I only caught bits and pieces of what was in the works so if has more details feel free to share.
Thanks,

From what I got from the newspaper today it seems that they finally have the gate to do the initial repair once the water drops to about 18 inches below the spillway. The other work is no earlier that late spring or summer of next year if all goes according to plan. I think they plan to install another gate system into the existing levee on the south side of the spillway. I just wonder if they do this will they have to cut some time of diversion channel back around to the bayou below the spillway....
