    Smile Cypress Bayou 11-12-09

Well, the Lord blessed John and I again today. I got to the lake about 7:15 and started fishing about 7:30. John had some chores to do and couldn't go early this morning. By the time John called and asked me to pick him up at the landing, about 8:30, I had already kept 11 or 12. When we quit at 1:00 PM we had kept 45 pretty nice fish; a couple in the 15 inch range and several in the 11-13 inch range. We probably threw back 10-15 crappie and several small strippers. We caught most of them around some tree tops off of the main channel fishing 12 feet deep in 13-14 feet of water. We caught probably 90% of our fish on a 1/16 chartreuse head with a red/chartreuse body. God bless and good luck to all of you whether your fishing or hunting.

I'll do that Mark. All my kids are coming in and the youngest wants just the 3 of them to go fish so I've got to keep my ears open for the hot spots so I can steer them in the right direction.
