It all started Great. Popeye and I were headed to Larto to give our money to someone. Just a few miles down the road we had a flat on the trailer. We changed that in record time and I told Popeye no telling what big wreck we just missed by having to change that tire. Then about 0430 we were north of Woodville, MS on Hwy 61 when we went to pass a Truck following a Minivan. WHen we were about even with the truck the Van made a hard Left into our lane and we T-boned the van.
Our truck pushes the van sideways, into the median were we traverse an 8 ft drop into the bottom of the median plowing water and dirt and coming to a stop. Popeye complained that his back hurt so I told him to sit tight, went and checked on the van. The driver of the van was sitting on the passenger side of the van trying to get out. We got him out and I saw he was able to walk and I dialed 911. Hwy Patrol contacted and directions given site. No One in life threating injuries. We a standing around a couple of minutes when some one says hey were is ____? The van driver is now missing. Call 911 again explain the new development. Notice the van doesn't have a Lic plate. The truck that was following now starts to leave to look for driver. I thought to get his Lic Number.
Start looking at the damage. Truck pretty torn up in front end. Boat off trailer. Trailer turned up on side. MHP gets to the scene and the abmbulance. They take Popeye to Natchez Regional hospital. Where we find out he has a fractured vertebra. He gets discharged to go home just as you guys were doing weigh in. I'll try to figure out how to upload a few pics. Sure was looking forward to meeting you guys and gals. But it just wasn't meant to be. But God is Good we are safe at home.

WOW, so sorry about all of the bad luck. Prayers are with Popeye for a speedy recovery. Thank God it wasn't worse. Did they find the van driver?
OH MAN that SUCKS! Sorry to hear about your bad fortune, but glad no serious injuries. Could've been much worse.
That sucks but man y'all were lucky. I'm glad to hear you're ok and pray that popeye will be also. Sorry you missed out on the gathering which is always a ton of fun.

B CUZZ,
Gosh, you just don't think of those things happening when you are on your way to go fishing.
Hope Popeye gets along and gets well quickly.
B CUZZ, please keep us updated as to the outcome of the other folks that caused the accident ( did they find the sorry so and sos?).

Hate to read about your bad luck. Glad that everyone is okay, other than needing some time to mend. The Lord was really watching over yall. Hope that you can get your boat back in order real soon. The fall fishing is about to heat up. God bless. Keep us posted.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
Wow, that sucks, Sorry to hear about the misfortune, that is my biggest concern when driving down the interstate, its all the other "drivers" that you have to watch for. I have avoided several accidents by doing that. Hopefully they catch the driver of the van and get it all straightened out. And we wish Popeye a speedy recovery.
