Didn't get started until late, but while putting in a friend of mine that is known for catching crappie was pulling out. He said he hadn't caught but one and that another guy that he works with also known for catching crappie hadn't caught but a couple in another boat. I went on up the bayou and didn't talk to anyone that had caught more than one fish. Well I even caught less. When I got ready to leave the Wildlife Agents were at the ramp their boat had broke down said they hadn't checked anyone that had caught anything to amount to much. So after a brief period of sucking up (offering water, food, etc. you never can tell when you need them to be nice to you) I loaded up an came home..
Hope someone caught something to brag about today
By the way the water is stained and still not following that I can tell.
never hurts to be nice to the boys who can make it hard on ya when your out on the water.
To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required
Hate to hear that FF. I hadnt heard any reports since Thursdays heavy rain. But this amazing weather makes you want to get out there even if the fishing isnt good!
Sorry you didn't get on them, but atleast you were on the water instead of at work. And keeping them wildlife guys on your side is always a good thing.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Talked to a guy that caught 23 sat between 9oclock and 12. Said they would only hit one color that he tried.
One of my friends said he talked to someone that had caught 22. He didn't say what they used but he lives around the spillway and they were probably caught up there. What color was your friend using??
He ties his own jigs, I'm not sure what color.
