Thread: the mighty red river

me and my daddy in law went to the river today and we caught 13. all but one were really nice. had to work ouir butts off for them though. never found any more than one in any spot. caught them near whitehouse. all were caught on shiners.

sorry for no pics, he took them. i didn't have time to clean them, had a date with my lawnmower.

Glad SOMEBODY's getting out there and catching some! Way things are going for me, my next chance might be Darbonne in Dec!!!

Doc, Congrats on the catch. I had a date with my wife's truck today..lol.. decided to change the brakes on front and rear, Took the front wheels off and noticed the steering sections were ALL wore out, so ended up doing that too.. Would much rather have been fishing than that. Thanks for the report.

good to hear yall caught some, I been havin' some dry runs, either NO size or NO fish. went out on bist last thur and run into the 'green crap' bout a mile north of the dam--solid all way to peggys is. turned round and went home. did catch a 9# blue and a 14" black crappie tho.
