Default Sorry Cajun Dave They're Not Crappie Pictures

Went bream fishing on the bayou Wed. morning to see if they were biting. Was going to take my dad on Thurs. and didn't want the trip to be a bust. Got up there around 10:30 a.m. and fish till about 1:00. Caught probably 35 or so nice fish. Gave them to a lady fishing near the ramp. Dad didn't end up going on Thurs. so I went anyway. I brought 29 home. Most were pretty good fish. I had to keep a few smaller ones that swallowed the hook. I probably threw as many back as I kept that were smaller. Filleted them out when I got home and cooked them for supper last night. They sure were good....

Rick, Congrats on the catch, atleast you are getting a chance to get out on the water and put something in the boat.. I can't remember the last time I went... but I know I will be next weekend. Thanks for the pics and post.

Nice mess of fish there, I would have a smile on my face for sure and rubbing my old belly after I was through eating them.

Default Nice catch of bream....I've been

after them down southeast LA and meeting with mixed success. Doing better in the Spillway and deep bayou canals. If the rain today don't do too bad I'm going to try the West Pearl... Keep up the posting...
