Going to Grand Isle middle of September and staying at Bridge Side Marina. I would like some tips on salt water fishing for speckled trout, flounder and red fish or whatever is fun to fish for down there.
I don't know anything about that area, I know in the Big Lake area, there are several people that long line troll with artificial baits. But there are a few others from down here that use different methods, so if no-one from around Grand Isle chimes in, the same methods may work there.
You can't fish with a hung line!
well there are a lot of good spec reports from grand isle thay are saying that thay are all over fish the rocks and in the surf but be sure you stop and buy a pass for the new bridge if not it will cost you a 25$ fine you can buy one at gauexpass.com top right of screan there is a link to la 1 single trip pass
Just my two cents:D
I would talk to folks at Bridgeside, they have all the bait, supplies, and tips on where and when. Just when in September are you going? I will shoot an email to a friend of mine that fishes the Island all the time.
As far as the bridge pass there is an office in Golden Meadow (on the right big flashing yellow sign) where you can walk in and buy it, it goes up by the axel, what a racket for about 2 miles of road. I sure am glad I am going back to crew changing out of Galliano.

If you are staying at Bridgeside you will have the opportunity to do some night fishing off the bridge. I have seen the bridge crowded with people and hardly anyone catching. Then noticed one guy catching. Figured out he was using crappie jigs because they matched the size of the shrimp or minnows they were feeding on. Fourtunatley I had a few my self.
I like catchin um B CUZZ
