Thread: Any reports from Old River at Archie (Jena)

Has anyone heard of a report on Old River over at Archie in the Jena, La area? I did get one report of 28 caught last week sometime. I was just curious if anyone had heard otherwise. I have a short weekend coming up and its may either be here or I may try Darbonne Bayou. Hoping to hear more on Old River:D

I know they were catching some last week but I havent heard of anything this week. I know a older fellow who fishes there alot when the water is right and I saw him pulling his boat yesterday. That would be a good sign because he always wears them out when he goes. PROBLEM IS GETTING INFO OUT OF HIM IS LIKE PULLING TEETH. He would not give you any clue of what he is using or what depth he fishes. I do know he always has shiners and I see him hitting the tree tops toward old river not ever toward the lake.

That is a good sign when you see the ones like that who knows when its right, but heck he may have ben goin somewhere else:D I had heard about the same as you about last week, I may get a quick trip in on Sunday morning. Havent quite made my mind up on where to go yet. Still some time yet, and maybe someone will post a good report.

yea its not but about 20 miles from my house, i been thinkin about going but i recently just put my truck in the shop and my trollin motor on my lil boat is actin up so ill get out there when i get the chance.
