    Default Darbonne Bayou 8/9/9

Caught 15 on the bayou today. Still not as big as the ones caught last week or the week before. Caught on red and Chartreuse, white or chartreuse nibblets. Did not catch a fish in more than 6 foot of water and 2 to 3 foot deep around stumps. Tried tree tops with no luck. Caught most from 12noon to 4pm. It was hot.
There were a lot of guys catching bass off points one said he had caught a limit yesterday on one point. I caught 2 off the point when he left and I had given up on the crappie.

Congrats on the catch. Hopefully this heat will let up before long and we can get some good fishing days in.

Flat Foot, I fished from 6:30 to 11 and had 23. I fished in water around 10 feet deep and fished about three to four feet deep. Pink head and orange and char. tubes. I saw them bass fishing on the points, looked like lots of small fish? Jim

The river is still on the rise but was expected to crest by the weekend. Have to see how the rain in Ark. goes.
