well, we just bought some land overlooking lake darbonne. the process has started and can't wait to start figuring out the lake. we will be up there for 4 days (aug. 13-17) and was asking for any pointers fishing for sac-a-lait or catfish while were there. we will fish early and late into the night.
any advise would be appreciated.
Congrats on finding you a place! I haven't been on the Lake in about a month, but I can say this time of year fishing is tough out there, so don't get discouraged if you don't do as well as you want. Once september gets here things should start picking up a little. And it will get better and better as the winter approaches. Fall/Winter fishing is fun out in the deep channels. You'll make lots of friends as well. What part of the Lake are you closest to?

we are staying at a condo near pleasure island dr. at stone creek.
the land in on scotts hidaway rd.
we understand completely about summer fishing patterns, they can be tough to key in on,. but we will give it a try and ride around the lake with our brides and do some scouting and just enjoy the day.
thanks.
Congrats on the new land. If ever I bought some land on a lake like Darbonne or Larto, I think I would have to quit my job because I would always be out on the water.. I don't have any pointers for you other than look for the other boats and see what they are doing.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Congratulation on your new place
