    Default Darbonne Bayou

I went to darbonne bayou friday afternoon and caught 20 good solid fish in about 2 hours. Caught them 1.5 to 2.5 ft deep fishing treetops with a bumble bee. Then it seemed that the current picked up and the fish shutoff. Went back today and kept 15. Fished around stumps in 5 - 10 ft of water. I was still catching fish when the monsoon came and forced me to leave early.

I went to the bayou today too. got there around 9:30 and fished until the rain run me off. keep 13 caught about 20. The keepers were good fish. Don't know if it matters what you use there were guys catching them on pink and white, black and pink, chartruese and black, and cajun orange. There were a lot of boats on up from Joe Bobs and a lot of traffic. One guy was telling me he caught several in tree tops further up the bayou around Hollands Bluff. I caught mine anywhere from 3 to 8 fow and around 2 foot deep.

Congrats on the catches guys. Maybe it's just me, but it seems them river fish put up a little more fight than the lake fish do.
You can't fish with a hung line!

I'm with ya jlaughlin72. I'd prefer a river fish any day. They have that extra muscle from fighting a lil current i guess. Or heck maybe that mercury just adds a lil more weight to them!
