    Question Brushpile depths?

Hey guys,I'm fixin to sink some brushpiles.I have never sank any before and I need some advice on how far up from the bottom I should go.I plan on sinking some in 10ft and 20ft.I was thinking 4-5 on the 10 ft,and 7-9 on the 20 ft depth.Your experience is much appreciated.

MO, we always sunk them to the bottom, but I really cant be that much help on this because I usually fish submerged timber and very seldom fish brushpiles... If you haven't seen it, you can check out the board pertaining to structure. Crappie Structure - Crappie.com There are tricks to where to put them, like shallower water near the edge of deep water, etc.
You can't fish with a hung line!

I agree with JL. If it were me I would just sink them according to how much line I prefer having out while jigging, and then adjust your line accordingly if the fish are holding in another depth around your structure.
