Default Anyone Crappie Fishing on Bisteneau?

I have heard a RUMOR of large numbers of crappie being caught on Bisteneau out of Port of Bisteneau...anyone know anything?

The person this info comes from tends to exaggerate so I am hesitant to believe it.

Default Don't know

I haven't heard anything.

Check out DMANN's post from a week or so ago. He went and didn't do much and if he ain't catching them then don't waste your time. Of course things could have changed since then.

Default If This Rain

haden't come, bist would be at the 8 ft drawdown level, when it does get down and it's at the lower level for a while it will steadily improve on bass and perch. it's been sporatic as the level drops, from what I've heard two days it's hot and then it' cold for a day or two. it may depend on where you fish too, upper, middle or lower end of the lake. personally I've been bout 4 times since the drop started and haven't done much, 3 times below peggys island and once at port. just perchin' tho.
yall get ready cuz it shouldn't be much longer--good fishin

The winter bite should be great in front of the Port O Bisteneau! With that being some of the deeper water on the lake & the lake being low, they should be stacked up out there once winter hits good!
