Got out there about one o' clock, ran all the way up to the caddo dam, and started working my way back down. caught 4 crappie and 6 bass. Had two fish break me off in the tree tops, i think 6lb test is too small for jig fishing with a long pole, what do you guys use?

IT was nice talking with you cajun dave and earl matt, although i did not catch any up shallow like i was talking about, they were all in brush between 14' and 17'. Seemed like the fish liked the standing brush that slid off the bank rather than the stuff that fell down. All the bass were caught on crappie jigs, except one, which was caught on a live gizzard shad, think they were all spotted bass or some other brand not large mouth i don't think. Oh yeah and i seen a pretty much gigantic gator gar it came up next to the boat about 20 yds, and i just happend to see it and it was huge, i hate to put a number to it, but i think i want to try them again. the fish were caught on black an chartruse. hope every one had a great weekend and have a great week.

Sounds like you had fun regardless. You should have tied your lead rope to the back of Ole Cajun's boat and followed him...lol.. thanks for the report
