Good pub for the area. The spillway is one of the best fisheries anywhere and probably the best after extended periods of spring hi water for 3 or 4 years straight. Size will be key so the closer to the Atchafalaya river, the bigger the fish. You can catch a hundred sacs within the spillway but they won't win a tournament of that caliber. I've always had better luck sizewise closer to the river, say the Grand Lake area being one example and the Wax lake Outlet area is another.

Can't tell if you were excited about this, or if you'd rather them boys not catch all your fish. Want to start taking bets on how many of those boats may spend a night in the basin, cause they forgot to punch enough waypoints.

Sounds like a good reason to "practice" fish as much as possible, one day we could see you at the big show...........( I guess they have a big show )

Will be great publicity for the state, especially after Jindal's announcements this week regarding spending to improve coastal restoration.
