Default Tmb 08-07-08

I went after work on Wed. to Twelve Mile to do a couple hours of perch fishing. Only caught one and one got away. I ran into the Twelve Mile Legend (Cajun Dave) and the Bistineau King (Dman). Of course between to the two of them, they had a nice mess of fish. I may try TMB late Saturday afternoon this weekend. I hope CD and Dman left me some fish.

I cannot believe that you guys are actually fishing for sac-a-lait - and catching 'em! - in Twelve-Mile Bayou! Something good must have happened to it during the past 40-odd years. I recall back then the only things to be caught in it were right below the Caddo dam - mostly gar, cats, gou, a few barfish and spotted bass, mooneyes, and skipjacks. White perch? Get a grip, buddy! Maybe changes are not all bad!

Boatstall, the way I understand it is, many people fish and some are fishermen. CD for sure fits in the latter category. Dave, one day I'll head north and take up that invitation. Then again as someone else quotes, "if you can do it, it ain't bragging, just a fact".
