Went to Darbonne and met a few of out co-members. Shout out to Dman, Waldo, and Kingfisher. I met a couple others but I didnt write the names down...sorry. Enjoyed the conversation very much. I was in the XPress with the yellow lab at Forks Ferry and Lil Darbonne Creek Channel. Anyway the bite was fairly steady but slow. I kept 44 but I stuck with it most of the day. The wind layed down pm, beautiful. Caught many small fish. Threw back at least 20 borderliners. Caught saveral nice fish with 1 pig that measured 16". I had my best luck on the BG Blue Thunder straight tail. 1/16 red jig head about 16' deep. There was no real fast action type bite at any time. It was just slow but fairly steady. Good Luck this w/e. Good deal Slip! I tried my darndest to go this afternoon but couldnt get away early enough. I did talk to a couple of folks that got their limit today. Im packing the rain gear for in the morning!

nice to meet you this weekend slipcork. we had a total blast. caught a bunch of fish and made some new friendships.
