Default D'Arbonne Heads- UP

The lake is currently 1.5 ft. above pool and falling. Water clarity has gotten considerably better in the past few days. The fish are beginning to move into the channel and are in 20-24 FOW, 12-14 ft. deep on the edges. Most fish are in the 3/4 to 1 1/4 lb. range with a few larger ones being caught on straight shinners, although I'm sure you "purist" can catch a nice stringer on jigs! Historically, as the water cools and gets clearer the fish will move into the deeper parts and will bite as deep as 20 - 22 ft. and the size will progressively increase. That said, never rule out the spillway area. Some great catches are made there this time of year fishing the humps and dips between the two ramps. Barring any unforeseen weather problems, the lake should be in great shape by "get together" time. Leave us locals a few!

Thanks for the heads up. Have not heard from you in a while. Hope you are doing well and the flooding did not give you any major problems.
I guess I will make my first trip to the lake on Wednesday. I have not fished Darbonne since July. Jim
