We rake up worms we call southern night crawlers in the woods. When handling them they leave something like snot on your hands. They will jump and flip a few times trying to get away. I've been raking up these worms for as long as I can remember. Bring home what we didn't use and dump in the flowerbeds and garden. I've found a few that are super large in my yard.
About the last 25 years I've been finding another worm while finding the night crawlers. It's about the same length, a little slimmer and jumps flips a lot more, it's a bit harder too. Breaks easy when hooking.
I looked at ebay and amazon, entered Alabama jumpers, found the same ads at both.

Once I need some shelter while doing some wood work in the yard. I hung a large tarp from the swing to the storage building. It stayed up about a month. When it was removed within an hour I had about 200 worms.
I've dumps a few containers of store bought night crawlers and find a few of them sometimes.
