Almost all the members can't make it for the Fish-together on Sept 10th at Shenango Lake. Can we change it to the Sept 17th? These work best when there are several members there to make it work. Can others make it that weekend? Please respond.

With the gas prices being so high, am betting that most won't make the meeting weekend either. Wish that others would respond to the message on having a server to post important membership things on, discussions of by-laws, and voting of them. It is a suggestion, but the longer we wait the further behind we are getting. A good club should have good organization, which includes alot of things.

How do you know that most members can't make it next weekend? I didn't see any posts to that effect. I rearranged things to be able to make it next Saturday. Bob is in Minnesota until Monday afternoon but I think the 17th was already booked for him, he'll have to respond to that.

I would like to have a private place for club matters too. It's not a matter of having a server to post things on, we have a server. It's a matter of having a board like this on our web site which we would have set up. Paid members would have to log on and sign in with a password to access that part of the site. To do this requires a monthly fee for the service. The renewal of our web site is coming up next month too. To do these things takes time to get the resources, mainly the $, to afford it.

I've talked with Bob and we're trying to come up with ways to increase membership. One thing we thought of was allowing members that join now to be considered paid through next year. Our year runs Jan. 1st - Dec 31st but someone joining now would be paid from now until Dec 31st 2006. Nothing is cut and dry though and we'd appreciate any input we can get from anyone.

If you're not comfortable responding on here private message me or Bob. As we've said from the start we want this club to be run for the members by the members.

Zeke has a son getting married, chaunc has a family thing or something, zimmy PMed me that he couldn't make it, also he was to be hosting it, deep-v is going to the teezur tournament, and not sure about my neighbors yet, and my motor is still down. That is 8 members right there. And Zig won't probably make it, just guessing, so that is 9 of 22 members.

Why pay for this part for now, if we can do it for free on MSN or Yahoo. Most of us paid for our membership with basicly half the year over. All members should get to vote on any changes to membership joining.

Still feeling out businesses on being sponsor's of our club. Two have online sites. We need to get going on what the fee would be.

So why call it off? The Teezer Tourney isn't untill later this month. My family get-together may not last all day so i may get there late. Are you not going to be there because your motor is in the shop? Did Pa Rivercat cancell out too? Maybe, if he didn't, you could ride with him this time. If you cant make it, it'll go on without you. You haven't been elected to office to make these kind of decisions, so stop being so pushy. As Myke said we want this club to run by its memberS, for its memberS.

I am new to the club. I would like to go to the Sept. 10th. meeting. Please let me know where on Shenango Lake and what time. Are there any boats available for members without boats?

Chaunc is exactly right, The Teezur Tournament is not until the 24th. That is two weeks AFTER the fish together, and I never said I would not be at the fish together.

Your right, I wasn't, but this club needs pushed along. I wasn't making a decision on if it happened or not, but trying to feed info, and whether it would be successful or not. At this point, it has NO HOST. Part of the problem is, that there are no officers. Over time at work gets posted on Wednesdays, and we don't know if working till mid day Thursdays. If it still happens the 10th or not right now is up to whom ever.

I talked with Bob last night and we'd like to have the get together this Saturday the 10th. We'll both be there although Bob will be leaving early. As far as a host goes, what did the host do at the last get together? Since our club is run by our members for our members someone else will pick up the ball. This is supposed to be a fun event to meet and greet. Maybe we can have an informal meeting while we're there instead of trying to plan another weekend this month for a meeting.

I'm looking forward to this. I've fished the lake 2 times before. Both times were through an 8" hole in the ice somewhere near the celery farm. I'm not even sure where to put the boat in, but I'll find out and I'll find fish.

We hope to see a good turn out, even if you show up late. Lets have fun and help each other out. Maybe someone could bring a camera as mine isn't working correctly.

    Thanks,
    Mike
