Thread: 2008 NAIFC Championship

Bob and I are leaving for Rhinelander WI tomorrow to fish in the 2008 North American Ice Fishing Circuit Championship. The 2 day tournament takes place next weekend Dec 13 & 14 but we'll be pre-fishing for a week.

Good luck and have fun. Take pics with your cell phone and send them to someone that can download them to the net for you. I dont have a camera phone but i'm sure at least one of our members could do it. We may be on the ice here by the time you get back.

Best of luck this weekend .Looks like it might be a while befor we have any hard water to get out on here .I took one deer to the processor last week and am trying to fill another tag in 2B . Looking forward to some sausage and hot sticks . I hope some more of the guys got their deer .

Well guys we didn't win. We kinda hit the wall on Saturday. Caught our limit but not big enough. Ended up in 50th place with 4.78 lbs. We hung in there and gave it hell on Sunday. Ended up moving up 29 places and finishing over all in 21st place adding 6.31 lbs to our total.

What an experience. If anyone else out there is interested in competitive ice fishing as a team let us know. We're trying to grow the NAIFC circuit bigger and especially the representation over here in the east.

You guys may not have won the tourney but you're still champs to the KCA. Congrats on a valient effort. Hope you have some pics to get us all fired up.:D

Great job anyhow Mike as chauncy said you guys are our Kca champs! I cant wait this weather is driving me nuts! One day looks like were heading to the deep freeze then the next its like fall!
Ive got everything ready ive never been this ready, I changed line on every ice rod and tip up i own.sharpen hook and BLADES, oiled and re waterproffed my shanties.new battery for vex!!please mother nature let it get cold!!!!!!!!!!
Soon we will have that ice together and maybe mike and bob can show us some new things to make us better ice anglers. See you guys soon.

Christmas might be a stretch with this up and down weather and the COE raising and lowering the lake so often. That moving water takes longer to freeze. Hopefully we get out before New Years. Hear anything about PI yet, Bill?
