Thread: KCA ice outing?

Hey Bill, any idea where you plan to have the "Ice-together" yet? We should have fishable ice in a couple more weeks. Maybe start making plans and find out who and how many of us will attend when its setup. These short ice seasons really blow.

I really don't care where we have the ice outing just as long as we have it when I am not out of town at a tournament. We have one in two weekends the 27th I believe is the date and we have another tournament towards the end of february. If we can shoot for say the first week in february we will have the benefit of first ice again. I missed it here the first time around so it will be nice to get out on home ice.
A suggestion on where to have it would be shenango or Arthur. Of course it all depends on ice conditions.
Just my two cents.

Bob and I do have another ice fishing seminar on Saturday February 2 and the tournament is on Sunday February 24. Other than that it should be OK.

When we talked about this in the fall it seemed that Shenango would be the best place to meet for all that were interested in coming at that time. Also what day, Saturday or Sunday? Sunday the 3rd is superbowl Sunday, doesn't matter to me since the game starts so late but wanted to mention it.

So available dates:
Saturday Feb. 9
Sunday Feb. 10

Saturday Feb. 16
Sunday Feb. 17

Please give us some input on this so we can pick a date. Sat the 9th is fine with me.

Well 1st off we need ice!!!!!!! We may get some by the end of this week but it doesnt look like and extended cold weather pattern!! if we do get safe ice it more than likely wont be around very lon!! Im off next weekend jan 28 7 and the following weekend feb 2nd and 3rd but i am working the weekend of 9th an 10th !
I just about gave up on hard water for this year and put mygear away,but if we get some ice ill be ready in about 10 minutes!!!!
Shenango would be great but presque isle would be better!!Lets see want mother nature throws our way and hope then decide!! Chaunc keep us infored about ice at shenango and asy a prayer to he ice gods!!!!

Sunday the 3rd of feb sounds good to most!!

Golden run area will be the first area with good ice. On a weekend day, it will be packed. Bring your handheld radios if you have them. Be easier to find each other.

Hey everyone, I went to Bob and Mike's Ice fishing seminar today. They did a great job. Very interesting and informative especially for a beginner like me. Mike and Bob said they could go if you pick a date from the above dates in the previos post. I have to go when everyone else goes because I have no ice fishing equipment. Pick a date, I can't wait. I have everything you will need. i also have 3 frs radios and a marine radio.
Its looking good we may get to do some hard water fishing yet!!!Smitty keep us posted on ice at shenango! Ill keep checking on erie!.

I was just thinking, if anyone wants to come out to icefish but, has never been out I can do a on ice clinic kind of a thing and show you the ropes. I have some stuff I can lend out for this event just post here and let me know. I'm sure that some of the other members will help out with any questions you may have while your out there.
Like I said I was just thinking about this and thought I would throw it out there.
