Bbobber, welcome to crappie.com, and the Pa board. There is a guy who has a tournament on Shenango each year in the spring. Will try to catch up with the rangers and see if I can get information for it. I do know that you have to snail mail the guy to pre-register for it. There is a tournament on Conneaut Lake each year in the early fall. It costs $5.00 per species that a person would want to compete in. Currently am not a member of KCA, so any info for it will need to be given by a member. Keith

Default Thanks for reply

Thanks for the reply, just trying to see if the Ketstone Crappie Assoc. is active and if they're membership is active.

There was a posting about somebody having questions about putting structure in PA lakes, I just wanted to put a reply back to them that I had aquired about putting structure in Pymatuning Lake and the State of Pa Fish Commision had gave information about a State agency (forget name) that takes care of structure. This was about ten years ago and the person in charge indicated to me that they need fishing clubs or sportsman clubs to be asigned to these projects. Also he had at that time to lakes that they were looking for Club help with in Western PA. One was Lake Arthur and I believe the other one was East Branch Lake, PA.

I could not fine this posting again, if you see it pass it on for me.

We are an organization that's trying to promote the sport of crappie fishing here in PA. We love getting out there and hunting for the slabs and are trying to pass on that enthusiasm to others. With help, we'd like to also organize some tournaments.

One thing we try to do on a regular basis from spring till fall is to have fish togethers. We'll meet each month on a different lake and try our luck, and have a get together afterwards, a picnic. Usually there's a club member who will give us some guidance as to where to fish. We encourage eveyone to join us, memeber or not, and to bring a friend.

I try to keep our web site updated as to the location and time of each fish together. The information is also posted here.

If you have suggestions on how we can improve our web site feel free to pass them on to me. KCA email
