Default KCA October 9 meeting info, (please read)

Hello, we had our meeting yesterday and decided that we will be voting for officers at our next meeting. Sunday November 6th.

Motions were made to make Chaunc the president, Jim vice president and Bob and myself treasurers.

Hopefully we'll have a good turn out for our next meeting. The vote will take place with attending members.

We would also like to decide on tenative dates for our tournaments next year. All input is welcome.

    Thanks,
    Mike

As of now, there's no need for votes.
Only having one nomination for each office, automatically puts them in place by proxy.

If having an official vote, write-in's will be the only deciding factor.

Something else to consider - Since you are going so far as the treasury level for elected officers, a recording secretary needs to be added to the elected positions. (Keith would you accept this position if put into place?)

Can we get a responsibilty list (or job description) for each postion?
    Term length?
As far as voter turn out - you should really have a minimum number of people attending in order to cast votes.
(I get the feeling it was a low turn out this month(?))

Wish I was closer to the hub of this thing - as I would be able to make more meetings. Was anything decided if the officers would be overseeing the complete state, or is it still broken down from East/West?
Either way is fine with me. I can always be used for anything over here.

Oh, one last thing, since these are elected positions, we'll need to get a yearly look at their pay scales. :D

    ************************************************** ********

Chaunc, Jim, Mike, and Bob - if I'm going to vote for the postions you are nominated for I'm going to need to know a little more about yourselves.
What are you guys going to do for/with the Association?

My view is that nominations are open until the voting takes place. If anyone wants to nominate anyone for a position I don't see why they cannot be posted on here.

As far as needing a minimum number of people attending, I think it would be difficult at best with the low turnout of the last two meetings. We need as many people attending these meetings as possible, which is not the case currently.

As far as all of the other stuff that you mentioned, I don't think any of us really knows what the potential of the club is or where we are heading at the present. The only thing that has really been discussed is having three tournments next year. One in the spring, one in the summer, and one in the fall. We need people to do the leg work for these tournaments, as far as dates, arranging lodging, prize donations, permits to the PFBC, etc.

I will be at Yellowcreek next weekend and look forward to meeting you zig.

    Take care,

Jim, i believe the purpose of the club is to get people to get together and fish a lake together. If you're a member and have a HOME lake that you fish, invite the club to come join you there. I know with the price of gas, that some people wont be able to travel way out east, but some of us can get to lakes 2 or 3 hours away. Remember the shore lunch we had at shenango lake? Whoever is the host at their lake can set it up. I'll bring my fryer and grill if needed. Cost me about $40. to host the one that day. Not bad for the fun and fellowship we had. I'd do it again without hesitation whenever asked. We've got members that fish Pymy, Wilhelm, Arthur, shenango, crooked, yellow, and erie. Come to a meeting and setup a fish-together on your lake. If we as a club, only have 20 to 25 members, we're still a club. If we dont get out on diffrent waters and show ourselves as a club, we'll never get a bigger membership.
I believe members should be proud to wear our logo. Be honest with each other and express how they feel about helping this club grow. If someone has a problem, pertaining to the club, speak up, be heard. We can do our best to work things out.
Bob, Mike, Zimmy, Zeke, Keith, Kermit, Jim, Zig, John, Smitty, we need to get together and discuss what direction we want to go. Some of you dont even post anymore. If you read this, how about replying. If anyone has changed their mind about being a member, let us all know. We as a club need to get this organization moving.

Anything I can do to change your mind?
Was looking forward to your leadership, especially to the get-togethers you have a penchant of putting together.

Zig, is the challenge still on for saturday? I still would like to come and check it out. I'll bring my scale to officially weigh them. Bob, Mike, Jim, i'll talk to you at the lake. What time does the tourney start? And Bob.... i'll take that boat offer.
