    Question Clover Creek?

Does anybody here fish Clover Creek off of the Ohio river? I am looking for some tips to fish there, as I am wanting to fish it Thursday. I have only fished it 3 times, and I heard it is a Crapie haven, but I can never seem to find any crappie in there.

I've heard it's full of big slabs but have never fished it myself. I was going to try it last year but went to Ky lake instead. Good luck when you go back.

    Take care,

We fish it occasionally. The timber was cut out of the creek at a level that puts the stumps just under the water level so it is pretty difficult to navigate, especially in a jon boat, but there are big crappie there. Minnows work of course but try the banks with a tube or hair jig under a cork at about 18".

Do you have any idea why they cut the timber like that? It makes it very difficult and DANGEROUS to navigate.

Thanks for the tip about the fishing, I am hoping the weather holds out so I can run up there and fish tomorrow.

Don't know, but it is a mess. I got a jon boat stuck on one the first time I fished there. Didn't think I was gonna' get free. I have a friend who is retired, he fishes it often. He likes Tar Creek (under the bridge) better actually.
