    Default KY Lake 3/26

Could not have a better day fishing. But the crappie were not hitting for me.

Managed a mixed catch of 46 today. I did not catch any crappie, blacks, on

the banks. I wore the banks out hoping to find them, but no go.

I am not used to fishing KY Lake. Fished primarily Sledd Creek today.

Having trouble finding brush. Did fish the stake beds, but the stripers were

beating my head in! Any advise would be appreciated. According to the

water temps, it should start soon. But this front may hold it off.......

    Hi Band,

Sledd is filled with stumps in the back 2/3's. Try drifting Kentucky Rigs or jigs through the middle and back end. It has a good supply of pre-spawn and spawning crappie. it is one of my favorite bays on that end of the lake.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
