I would add after seeing mrdux post, check out his fishing report. His reports are spot on and he usually tells you everything but the spot he's fishing.

Before we got our own place we always stayed at Whispering Oaks. I just went to look for the link and it looks like it changed hands so while I assume it's still pretty much the same but can't say for certain. Nice cabins, a ramp for launching a boat, and slips with electric available. Bob and Marilyn were the best when they ran it and I'm sad to see they have sold it. I hope they are well. Anyone know the story behind the change in ownership?

I’m camping first week of April at Lakesie campground. They rent campers too I have tented and moved up to a truck camper. Boat parking is conviemtemt. Covered slips with electric also a ramp and minnows for sale on site. They are fresh and cheapest minnows I have bought anywhere. Been going every year for ten years

tjeu also rent just slips if you want to stay at a hotel near by but not mess with boat launching. No one has ever ,eased with my unattended gear there or anywhere I guess I have been lucky.
