In short, I put nearly 9,000 miles on my truck fishing 87 days in 2017. Doing 65 mph when pulling the Nitro, my truck averaged around 11.1 mpg. My 2000 Mercury 225hp optimax is a thirsty ole gal. I put an average of 50.00 worth of fuel in the boat every weekend, with sometime more. Looking at aluminum with a newer 4 stroke would make sense due to the weight reduction, and fuel economy rising in both the truck and boat.
Results thus far, pulling the Ranger home Tuesday afternoon I got 14.6 mpg, so at this point I am making money in comparison to the Nitro.

The boat got some slime today, nothing size wise to brag about. The east wind truly dug it's claws into some very good fisherman, and made many very humble. Kept 6 to cook up this week.
Now, the new boat is a sweet riding, driving and fishing machine. The front deck is very spacious, with room to spare for even two fat boys like me and DKB today. The layout is very comfortable where I did not feel like I had to cram any of my gear into this place, or that space. The ride is very smooth and just like a glass boat. The bow did have a little rise to it in the hole shot, but I am so trying to stay with the break in schedule and not mess this motor up.
Folks have been wondering how it handles in chop and rough water. We had some choppy water out on the main lake today, both running with and against it, and the boat did awesome. Zero slap against the the aluminum hull, the rough water was an average for the main lake but even my own wake the boat excellent. Overall, I am tickled with the entire package. I received my Millennium Marine umbrella holder on Saturday afternoon and will be getting it installed this week. The only problem I noticed is that my fuel gauge went bonkers and is reading down past the "E" since I filled her up this morning. But, I will get it figured out or call the dealer.

If your looking at this boat, you will not be disappointed.

I have trouble seeing alot of pictures when I use it. I have figured out if you hit the three dots in the top right and switch to web view it will redirect to taptalk and you can see them.
