Exclamation Anyone attending the Spring Fling @ Green ... please note :

If you are planning on attending the Spring Fling at Green River Lake and want to contribute but HAVE NOT already signed up to bring something to the event ... here's some items that are needed :

Peanut Oil ... 5gal or 35lb size containers (need at least 3 containers, but no one person need bring all 3)
    Baked Beans
    Deviled Eggs
Hush Puppies (Kroger has Savannah Classics Original - favorite from previous Spring Fling events )
    Dessert dishes
Other side dishes pertinent to a Fish Fry

PLEASE REMEMBER ... you are NOT required to bring ANYTHING to attend this event !! This is just a list of options for those that wish to volunteer to donate a dish or item to the event.

If you do want to volunteer to bring one of these items, then post your choice on the following thread : http://www.crappie.com/crappie/kentu...unteer-signup/ and I will add you to the list. I'd also like to know how many people will be coming with you, so we can get an idea of total attendance (and know how much of the food items may be required).

I will edit this list as the above items are spoken for and you're added to the list.

Might not want to use peanut oil. Some people are alergic to peanut.

Those that are allergic to peanut would likely say so or ask, first. So far we've not had anyone do so. We use peanut oil because it has a high smoke point and a neutral taste factor.

And that's what I took it as, and it's a valid point. That's one reason I make it a point to identify the type of oil being used !!

Are you required to stay? Is there a registration fee etc? I read your other posts and didn't see. I may make the drive south to fish, eat, and put faces with name's if that's ok with yall?

INDyak it is free and a friendly get together to have good company and put faces to the names and make friends. They sometimes donate to help cover the cost of the shelter but it is not manatory.
