    Default Rise & Shine KY

Well, I'm up and awake. Boat is loaded and hitched, and waiting on Littlemama!
Time to go find some piggies!!

Pray for Littlemama's Georgia Bulldogs as they play Auburn this afternoon.

We as fisherman have had the last two weeks as Christmas gifts because the weather for the most part has fantastic for the time of the year!
He painted a beautiful morning and felt blessed to witness it in person. The feeshes on the other hand didn't feel compelled to follow the script, but we hadn't fished this area in probably 3 months. Regardless, the wifey and I kept 16 for the blackening skillet. Had to fish a multitude of variations to find our best bite in 10-12 FOW, with the fish relating to the bottom, top side of drops, creeks, and suspending over deeper water column in the creeks.
Scanned alot of water, located deeper fish, but they didn't like our presentation. I was praying for a little wind at one point to get that "crappie ripple" going on the water surface. It was just too perfect of weather, at least from my point of view. In reality, to not have fished the area in months, and pull out 16 keepers, and probably threw back another dozen or so 10" to 10.5" fish, not bad for a rank amateur. Others may call it differently....
In the end, I'm blessed to have a wife that enjoys this almost as much as I do, and we had a great time yesterday on the water. With winter about to knock on our backdoor, that is probably her last outing until those nice February days, or even until our Lake D'arbonne trip at the end of February.
No feeshes pic because DKB and I threw all our feeshes together (31 to be exact)in the ole cooler, cleaned them here at the house, and we went to grab some dinner before he left to head back north. Enjoyed the fellowship brother!
