Flicker shad fire tiger took most of the fish and I had it on a down rod at about 10'. I marked plenty of fish but found only a few schools that would hit. Got my limit, ten, as that's all this ole man wants to clean anymore. Lost quite a few at the boat, not sure why but all in all a good day. Off the lake by 11:30 as it got too hot. The weatherman lied, he said we'd have a high of 88, it was 92 when I left. Like Pab, I'm ready for some fall fishing.

Hey slabseeker, will those flicker shad dive deep enough just trolling without putting them on a downrod. I'm new to trolling and want to try a few different baits but have only used the Bandit and arkies. I don't have any experience nor the equipment yet to try the pushing method with a trolling weight
