Thread: 2016 Fall Kentucky Lake Shindig Master Check List!!! (What to Bring)

Bake beans, vinegar Cole slaw and 12 pack of cokes
On chili night 12 pack cokes and crackers.

Crock pot of white beans. 10 pound bag of crinkle fries.

Couple packs of hotdogs and buns for Friday night. I have the skewers for cooking hotdogs over fireplace.Relish and mustard.

Darrin, folks need to keep in mind there is a Food Giant supermarket and deli within a mile of the event in case somebody wants to wait to buy their stuff closer to the pavilion.

I'm going out on a limb here but I plan on getting several pounds of silver (Asian) carp fillets together so folks can try them for real. We cooked some at a seminar at my shop a few years back and everyone who tried them liked them. The more folks who try them, the more word we can get out that they are good to eat and folks should try them. More dead carp=less bullies out there picking on crappie and panfish.

How much oil do we need? I'll bring a 3 gallon jug! Mark what kind do you use?

I'll bring crackers for Friday and paper towels and salt/pepper for Saturday.

List is updated!! Looking good all!! Keep it coming!!! Remember.....it is looking like we are having plenty of interest in the Shindig already. Last year we fed approximately 75 head of people and this year it is looking like more. Keep this in mind when you commit to bringing an item. If you pick an item and don't want to prepare it for this large of a group, please PM me and I will make the necessary adjustments on the list asking for another member to help out with that particular item.
