    Default Prop is fixed

Went over to Lakeside Prop Shop today and had my prop repaired by Donnie DeClue. He took one look at it and had one word, WOW. Looked at me and said, bet this shook the motor pretty good and I told him it didn't. After putting it on the die he said all three blades were bent about the same and that would keep it from vibrating. He then told me he'd try and straighten them but they may break but if it it did, he had a used one he'd sell me. He worked on each blade for a good while before saying that it was as good as he was able to get it, also told me it plane quicker and gain a few MPH. He took the prop off the die, handed it to me and said, that'll be $20.00, Your KIDDING! Too Much, no but I was expecting more like $50.00. Tried taking him next door to Moors restaurant but he declined and asked me to call him and report to him how it changed the speed and reaction out of the hole and I said I would. He seems like more than a squared up fella and I'd recommend him.

Donnie is one of the best. And he is a fantastic welder also. He welded plates to the ribs of my old jon to mount pedestal seats.

Don't you love it when you find a shop like this?? Far too few today. Most have a 1 hour minimum and runs $80 to $100 even if it takes 15 minutes.

Glad it worked out for you, Russ. He came highly recommended but I had personally not used him. I won't hesitate to use him in the future.

Now, I have a bone to pick with you. You were 10 miles from my shop and you didn't stop by?

I actually thought about trying to get in touch but my wife reminded me that a storm was on our heels and we needed to scoot. I'm sure you'll make me red faced at the weigh in on the 6th. See ya then.

The most likely way you will tear up a prop is running it backwards thru your garage wall.

Oh my Look out there is a sense of humor inside those bibs.
Yes that is a big possibility in my garage. Whats even more fun is getting the boat and trailer thru the 9' door.
When the truck and trailer is longer than the drive way and the street put together.
That is fun to watch some times.

Vicki says that sense of humor is sick humor since I find Monty Python, Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes to still be some of the funniest stuff ever done.

Her main issue is both of our kids share my "sick" sense of humor.
