Headin to Shawnee Bay
Hello everyone. Me and some good buddies from Illinois are heading to Shawnee Bay Resort on Monday morning early. Hopefully we can be on the lake by 10:30ish. Any suggestions would be welcomed by anyone familiar with that area. Thanks ahead of time everyone.

Shawnee Bay
Be sure to get some kentucky rigs. I personally like the 3/4 to 1 oz weights on them. Get some medium minnows. Drift fish the area inside and outside of the ridge at the mouth of the cove. Get a map and look where the creeks come together inside the cove. That is a real good area. Concentrate on water that is over 10 foot deep. Drift with the wind and hang on for some hog crappie. Good luck!

Like Pistolpete says, It's a good bay. Look for the brush piles too. I use Jigs. Chart-purple brown-olive, chart-orange are some of the colors. Also try across the lake at Dunkin and Sugar Bay. We always stay at Shawnee Bay, really nice place. We'll be down there the week after so save us some fish. Good luck hope you guys have a great time.
