Thread: Kentucky lake in February

I have been told that I should try the lake during the winter. I have never had the time to do it but it looks like I will have some days this winter. My question is it true winter is a good time to fish the lake?

winter is a great time to fish ky lake, never fished in feb but nov and dec have been great times for me. good luck!

If I had the time, I would go.
I've been there in early march and we did pretty good.

Depending on the weather, we do better in febuary/march than any other time of the year.

can be really good if water doesn't get too cold

I've fished Ky Lake all my life....and have to say my favorite months are December, January, and February. I'll take a calm, sunny day in the winter on Ky lake any time. It's an awesome time of the year to catch really big crappie.
