Both Moscow and Neville on the Ohio Side have pretty good ramps.
Locking through is no big deal. I just takes a little time.

    Default Foster ramp

I always launch at Foster if I am fishing at Meldahl. The Neville ramp is directly straight across from Foster on the Ohio side and is a lot nicer ramp.
On the Kentucky side, there is a ramp in California, which is across from New Richmond. I have put in at Augusta a bunch of times. It is a really nice ramp with docks and plenty of parking. I have never locked through at Meldahl. I haven’t been down yet, but I am planning on going Saturday and maybe a couple of times next week. My cousin has been down there (Meldahl) the last 2 Saturdays and has done well. He and his buddy had 18 keepers,
13”-19” sauger. 16 keepers week before.I talked to him last nite. He said they had 4 sauger over 18”. He said there were a lot of sauger being caught in the dam area. He also said it was crowded, about 20 boats in this area.

    Default California Ramp

Off of Rt. 8 in the town of California. Turn right if goin North or left if coming south on Rt. 8. It is close to California Crossroads off of AA highway East. You will cross RR tracks, you will see a ball field on the right. Keep going straight you will find the ramp. There used to be a fee to launch. The ramp is a single lane ramp. Not a whole lot of parking. Last time I used this ramp was about 10 years ago. Where will you be coming from?

Yes there is a golf course and there is one big lake which is called holiday, and then there is crystal lake up on the golf course, then there is evernist lake, and big bass lake, Holiday is the main and the rest are pond/lakes, the spring is great there you have the ky river and the lakes mentioned, to much to choose from, If you ever want to see it let me know. Also the bluegill fishing is great too.
