Question possible move to louisville. How is the fishing?

My wife might be getting a promotion and so we might be moving from springfield mo to louisville ky. Was wondering how the crappie fishing is there and what lake should we try to locate neer.
    Thanks in advance,

That's a tough one to answer, There are several small lakes in Sou. Indiana and a couple in Ky. If you come to Louisville Look me up and I can show you a few places where I go. Be glad to help out. In Ky close to L-vill are Guiest Creek in Shelby Co. about 350 to 400 acres and Taylorsville Lake somewhere around 3000 acres. In Sou In. Hardy, John Hay, the lakes in the Nat. Forrest Celina and Indian are good all small lakes then there,s Patoka a larger lake in English In.

Patoka, in southern Indiana has hosted several CrappieUSA events. Kentucky and Barkley are about 2 hours away. Plenty of fishing in the area.

I am in Louisville and I fish Taylorsville a lot simply because it is only 40 minutes away. This year I did pretty good there and most years are fair to pretty good. Hardy Lake is about 40 minutes away in Indiana. Pretty good crappie and darn good redears. Rough River is about 1 1/2 hours away and I like it a lot. Pretty good on the crappie most years but I have had a few stinkers in the past also. If you want the motherload, head west and hit KY Lake. It takes 3 1/2 hours to get there from Louisville but it is well worth the trip. It is a great lake. For fun if you want to catch tons of little ones in the 6 inch range, go to Lake Jericho in Henry County. It will be about 30 minutes away but you can catch fish all day long. You won't catch a single one to keep but the kids have fun.

Do you know where this ramp is located? Looks like a good place for the kids to fish.
    Thanks!

watched the video and they didn't say anything that I heard about where they were. It could be any place on the river near a creek, that's the only thing I can get from it.

All I heard was South of Louisville. Sure would like to find the spot. Looks like a nice ramp.
