Thread: Green River Crappie 10/5

Finally got to get after the crappie, but not much to talk about. Put in at Holme's Bend around 7 and fished hard every spot I knew from there to just past Emerald Isle. Fished flats, dropoffs and just plain ole deep brush. Caught a load of fish, only wound up with 18 keepers and 2 cats. Lake has been pulled hard the last week and seemed to have the fish locked up. For what it's worth, the creel study guy said he talked to no one that had caught much that day. They turned the water off today, so the fishing may pick up. Think I saw kyteacher putting in just before me, he probably had better luck. Think I am going to go back to the gills and crackers tommorrow until they just run out.

Nice mess. GRL is a pretty lake too. If thats a tuff day hate to see the cooler when you have a great day.
